Atikokan is located in Northwestern Ontario, approximately 200km (125 miles) West of Thunder Bay and 100km (62 miles) North of the U.S. border. Atikokan is serviced by four cities. Thunder Bay, Minneapolis/St. Paul, International Falls and Ely. All of the mentioned cities have major routes that link to Atikokan as well as air taxi services that will provide air transport. Both Air Canada/Air Canada Jazz and Northwest Airlines fly to locations surrounding Atikokan.
